you need to understand just what Personal Development is.
Before we go any further it may be useful to offer a
definition of personal development. I did some research
on the Net and Googled the word personal development.
I was amazed to discover that there weren't truly that many
sites that provided a definition, tho' there were many ads
promoting personal development. It shouldn't surprise me because
a research firm has calculated that the personal development
industry is set to develop at a rate of almost 12% yearly through
to 2010, to a value of $13.9 billion.
Here's the difinition:
Personal development is the deliberate growth or development of
a particular individual to bring out their potential and capabilities
making them more aware of their inner feelings, belief systems
to become a more conscious, whole or healthy human being?
Whew... that's a mouthful but it appeared to embrace my own views
about what personal development is. I as well decided to ask a friend
to offer a definition:
techniques that enable me to heighten my life in all areas?
Now I do like this definition as it is simple and compact.
The thing about personal development, is that it stands for different
things to different individulas. When somebody starts the journey of
personal development, it maybe that they've chosen to improve their health,
relationships, career prospects, monetary resources etc.
So how do you get rolling on the road to personal development and get a part
of the big bucks it can bring as well? Well, firstly become aware of what you
already have in your life and what you're thankful for and then consider what is missing,
what do you want, I mean truly want. Awareness has to come 1st, as without an awareness
there can be no conscious decision to take action. Getting aware as well means asking
yourself different questions and then looking for out the answers.
So if your question is there must be more to life than this??your brain is
already making an supposition that there's more to life and as though by
wizardry you begin to see things around you that maybe you didn't notice before.
In the following issues I'll provide some strategies that I use regularly
for personal development.
