Negative thinking seems to be more prevailing
than positive thinking. It seems that with
many individuals positive thinking requires
some effort, whereas negative thinking comes
easily and unasked.
If you've been brought up in a happy and
positive atmosphere, where individuals
value success and self-improvement,
then it will be easier for you to think positively and
anticipate success. If you've been brought up
under poor or hard situations, you'll
probably go on anticipating difficulties and failure.
We all look at everything through our
predominant mental attitude. If our views are
positive, that's fine, but if they're
negative, our lives and circumstances will
likely mirror these thoughts.
If you believe that you're going to fail,
you'll unconsciously undermine every chance to succeed.
If you're afraid of meeting new individuals or having
close relationships, you'll do everything to
avoid people and relationships, and then
complain that you're lonely and nobody loves you.
Each time you view yourself thinking a negative thought,
decline the thought, and think a positive one alternatively.
- If you view yourself visualizing failure, see success instead.
- If you hear yourself expressing negative words,
change to positive words alternatively.
- When you say, "I can't", state, "I can".
- Do you repeat negative words and words in your mind?
Alter them to positive ones.
- Open your mind to positive attitude and anticipate positive results.
